GSS America Lists on NSE and BSE: GSS America Infotech Ltd. got listed at its issue price of Rs 400 and Rs. 380 on the Bombay Stock Exchange and on the National Stock Exchange, respectively. Living up to the investor confidence, the company's share was surged to a high of Rs 540 on NSE and 508.4 on BSE before closing the day at Rs 500.4, with 25.16% premium over its issue price of Rs 400.

This role is part of the GSS America's overall Marketing department and is responsible for the following functions:
- Gather data on competitors and analyze price, sales and methods of marketing
- Analyze business needs and market opportunities in specific areas including leasing, franchising, trading and technical collaborations and software maintenance
- Identify business opportunities in the USA and South East Asia with regards to the computer industry and institutionalize extensive business partners, while interacting with senior management of client organizations
- Collect data on customer preference and buying habits
- Carry out technical and marketing feasibility studies and procedures for providing turnkey solutions and services for information systems, software development projects and systems management for US and overseas customers
- Examine and analyze statistical data to forecast technical marketing trends
- Handle project coordination, research on financial strength of potential clients, project coordination, relationship management, quality control
- Working with other GSS America departments (Verticals, Solutions, Delivery centers, Operations) and partner organizations to ensure consistently high quality proposals are delivered and optimal technologies are deployed to the prospects
- Understand and articulate business requirements and IT infrastructure of the clients to the GSS America Solutions practice group
- Perform qualitative systems analysis and propose technology solutions in the areas of enterprise/internet/e-business/outsourcing for the vertical industry segment
Skills
The ideal candidate must be able to interact with consulting professionals and clients that have a high level of domain knowledge across eBusiness, CRM, Wireless and Enterprise applications

- Prospecting and generating new business, both from existing and new customers in the assigned territory to meet the allocated Quota
- Coordinating all the pre - sales activity by involving the appropriate GSS America and partner organizations to ensure consistently high quality of proposals to the prospects
- Being the GSS America focal point for the customers and prospects till the proposal is converted into a project and following up on the proposals
- Creating, nurturing and strengthening profitable executive and operational level relationships with existing and new customers
- Work with the key stakeholders within the client's organization to improve the positioning of GSS America's capabilities and strengths
- Establish the credibility within the account at the right levels to win the trust and the respect of the client.
- To work closely with the Client team to be able to strategize on future opportunities within the account.
- Develop statement of work for engagements and client's sign-off. In some cases, this may be delegated to the Project Manager from the delivery center. The SOW is mandatory for every major phase of every project.
- Work with the delivery center teams assigned to the engagements to ensure that they are being executed on time and on budget. Though the project manager is ultimately responsible for the deliverables on the project, BDM works closely with the project team to ensure client's satisfaction.
- Manage client expectations and work closely with Project Managers in the delivery centers to manage scope and resource issues.
- Putting the right contractual processes in place - development agreements, contracts, statement of work, etc.
Skills
The ideal candidate must be able to interact with clients and have excellent communication and presentation skills. The candidate should be able to understand the practise he represents and also articulate solutions at a macro level.
